In short, it is a simple, easy way to make single cup filter coffee. The BrewSpoon is made from 100% safe, food-grade polypropylene (plastic) and 150 micron 304L stainless steel. How does a brew spoon work? via BrewSpoon.co
Like plunger coffee, the BrewSpoon requires a coarser grind. Finer grinds do work but you will find more sediment in your cup with finer coffee. Some people may enjoy this, others not, but their recommendation is to use coarse coffee grinder. The same applies to the type of blend you prefer. It may be best to play around until you find your preference. For the best brew, it is best to use water right off the boil. Place the brew spoon into a cup and add the water. Allow to stand for a minimum of 3 minutes, or as much as 5 – 6 minutes if you prefer a stronger blend. For a hotter cup then 4 minutes will be plenty – occasionally stirring and tapping if it wants to float to the top.
How can people purchase a brew spoon?
The BrewSpoon can be purchased directly from their
website or from Takealot. They currently offer wholesaler options and can thus be a great addition to any coffee shop. The retail price is between R199 – R250.
Why purchase the BrewSpoon? It is ideal for on-the-go coffee, for work or on holidays where conventional coffee machines and French Press’ may not be available.
